So today is moving day. 90% of the garage where I had my bindery has been packed up and ready for the new house. It does have a garage but I've not yet seen what it looks like so I don't even know if it has power. At least I will be able to keep my Victorian Nipping Press. I have a three year lease with a one year break clause, which makes me nervous as the last two houses have invoked the break clause making me leave early. First one because the owners were moving back into the house and my current place they decided to sell after finding four holes in the roof.
I have eleven unfinished projects going since the middle of November and it would be nice to be set up again and get them done by April. To be honest with all the stress I've been going through I've lost enjoyment in bookbinding, games, painting, and just about everything. So I'm hoping the move might kickstart some creativity. I have certainly given up on doing City and Guilds as my situation in life has changed and I can no longer afford to take workshops that are only a single day not to mention the five day long courses for City and Guilds. It is too bad no one does any apprenticeships locally, or for someone in the middle stages of life. Maybe when the kids all move out I can consider taking a drop in pay and moving for an apprenticeship.
Onwards and Upwards! Maybe something good will come out of all this chaos. Anyways no internet at the new place until next month and it will take me some time to get the new place sorted before I can sort out a bindery. It would be nice to get back to making two to five posts a month like I was doing.
