I enjoy binding journals but I enjoy binding books with print in them more. When I realised I was going to start printing pdf's and binding them I needed to come up with a better printing solution. My previous printer, although very good, was expensive to maintain. I was spending around £80.00 for a full set of inks, I tried 3rd party inks but they actually sun bleached over a part of a day when I left a book open on my workbench. So those were a false economy. Someone suggested an Epson Eco Tank printer. Very expensive start up you will be looking at £400-£650 for the printer. Now for the good news a full set of inks run about £65.95 and will last 8-12 months! I bought the EPSON EcoTank ET-7750 June of 2018 and I am still using the inks it came with. This is with four children printing A3 full colour posters for their rooms, and printing art work for school and friends. I've printed several A4 books in full colour, aslo in black and white. All of that would have cost more than £600 with my old printer in ink alone.
The ET-7750 can print up to A3 size which is great with A3 short grained for A4 books! The following are some pictures of how I've used my EPSON ET-7750
- 1,968 colour prints most of those on A3.
- Only 255 B/W prints
