So the last City and Guilds I did was course 118. Today was my first, of five, days of course 119 Photo Albums and Slip Cases.
The weather is horrible and many of the roads are under water.
The thatch is finished and scaffolding is down on the building.
So day one was getting the photo album ready using 220 GSM black card.
Only ten signatures, sewn on tapes with 18/3 thread. Then rounded, which I found very fiddly on such a thin book.
Then my first time using a vertical plough. It has its advantages over a traditional plough but surprisingly I prefer the traditional plough like I have.
Picking out the coverings is always fun. I love Japanese papers!
And the case is made! Tomorrow I will case it in with the photo album. Casing in is still pretty stressful for me so I'm hoping I don't muck it up.
