City and Guilds day 4

It feels as if things are slowing down a bit. I managed to finish my first multi section bind and start on the second one but that is a out it. We talked a bit about the submission process and toured the attached working Bindery.

Having to trim your book bloc by hand is a good learning experience but it is really time consuming. Takes me longer than using my plough, but I was told we didn't have to hand trim them for our submissions. The next multi section is a link stitch without tapes and then we are finished.

I'm a bit excited to get home and start planning my submissions. I will have the time to research paper and types of bookcloth and I will make my submissions of multiple sizes to show I can take what I was taught and apply it to different situations.

I'm very pleased with what I've learned.  There has been many great tips and reinforcement of what I already knew, and some reminders of what I forgot. I've taken plenty of notes and about a hundred pictures to go with them.  I'm very excited to continue with my work to say the least.
