I thought this tutorial by 'lowmountain' looked like fun so I thought I'd give it a go.
Unfortunately I was enjoying the entire process so much that I forgot to take a lot of pictures during the process.
The bookblock was sewn just like the one above but instead of using coloured card for the endpapers I used very heavy card that I took from old hanging folders they were throwing out at work.
Now my wife works for the Beacons of the Past project which is a project to discover more about Iron Age hill forts in the Chilterns. They launched their big project today so I thought I would make this Sewn Board A6 notebook for her. News Article about the project here. The 'marbled paper' is just printed on photo paper. I found this very fun and enjoyable to make. I don't know how well it will hold up compared to my traditional cased in books but time will tell.
